I think you should just relax and chill out a little. You don't have to sanitize your desk to stay healthy. Just stay away from sick people, and every time you use the restroom, make sure you wash your hands. When you do these things, you will still stay happy and healthy without the sanitizer!

Instead of sanitizing your whole desk, just sanitize your hands with a miniature bottle that you can keep in your desk. You can also get sanitizers with perfume or glitter, so your friends might think it’s cool and get some too.

Make sure you are getting your daily vitamins. There is no guarantee that you won’t get sick. Just try your best to stay healthy!

You should be proud that you always try to be healthy. You’re keeping bad germs away from you. There is nothing wrong with that. If people make fun of you, think to yourself that at least you won't be sick as much as they!
-Hannah, age 10, Florida
I used to have that same problem. For example, if I was getting a drink of water from the water fountain at school I used a tissue to turn it on! But then I decided I'd have to deal with my worries, so I talked with my school nurse and she really helped me. She told me that you have to learn to accept the fact that germs spread every second. Try talking to your school nurse or parents about how you’re feeling.

It's good to stay healthy, but you should remember that as long as you wash your hands before you eat or put your hands near your mouth, you don't have to freak out and sanitize everything!

Ask the teacher if you can sanitize your desk after school or before school. Then people will think that you have stopped, and you won't have to worry about getting teased.
-Erica, age 11, Missouri
You should tell your friends why you sanitize your desk. If your friends are true friends, they should understand.
