Hosting an American Girl Fashion Show
The American Girl Fashion Show is an innovative way to raise funds for children’s causes. Featuring historical and contemporary fashions for both girls and their dolls, the show comes alive with your models. A commentator’s script gives the audience girl-friendly pieces of fashion-related history that tie into the stories of the American Girl characters, as well as insight into how fashion can give girls a way to express their own unique personalities.
At the show, every child receives fun party favors. Fashion Show guests have the opportunity to purchase event-related souvenirs and have special photographs taken. American Girl books may be available for purchase through a local bookseller, and additional American Girl products are provided as door and raffle prizes.
Audiences come away with terrific memories of their American Girl experience and positive feelings about the mission of the host organization, and about helping others in their community.
To help host organizations succeed, American Girl provides each one with a detailed event manual, key promotional materials, and a personal event consultant to offer expert guidance and advice every step of the way.

We began working with American Girl Programs on our philanthropy efforts 13 years ago, and have enjoyed an extremely successful relationship. American Girl Programs has always exceeded our expectations, through terrific management and wonderful service. In fact they always make us feel as if we are their only client!
We chose the American Girl Fashion Show as our main fundraiser because it captures the hearts and excitement of nearly every American girl—young and old. This delightful shared experience occupies a very special place in our guests’ hearts—perhaps for a lifetime.
Our next American Girl Fashion Show will be presented this spring in Pasadena, California, and I look forward to another outstanding year working with American Girl Programs. If you are considering doing a fundraiser, I highly recommend the American Girl Fashion Show—you’ll have so much fun!

Thank you, American Girl Programs, for providing this wonderful family program for us to share with our community! It is not only fun to produce but also a wonderfully profitable fundraiser that is so very well received by all who attend. We are often thanked for offering this “wholesome family show.” It simply brings tears to our eyes to watch the little girls’ faces as they see the magic of this program unfold. It is rewarding knowing that as they sit there in genuine excitement throughout the show, we are building a community tradition and making money that will help others, too. With all of the help and materials from American Girl Programs, producing the show is user-friendly. It is truly a pleasure to be a part of this event that honors and builds up girls the way American Girl Programs does. We look forward to next year!
