Home for the Holidays. Hanging around home over winter break? Stay in, reconnect, and banish the boredom with these fun ways to make the most of your family time this holiday season.
Beach Bash

Party at the beach (even if it’s snowing outside)! Lay beach towels on the floor for everyone to sit on during your dinner of sandwiches, chips, and punch. Wear sunglasses, put on some tropical music, and share favorite memories of warmer summer days. After dinner, watch Lea to the Rescue and head deep into the Brazilian rainforest for a super-exciting adventure!

TV Bingo

Use the TV as the caller in this fun game. Create cards with a nine-square grid on each. In each square, write down or draw something you might see on a TV show—a computer, a person in a plaid shirt, or a black car. Make sure each card is different. Hand out the cards, and put one person in charge of channel surfing. Players should cover their cards as they see the items on TV. The first one with a full line covered is the winner.

This Or That

In this activity, everyone gets to be the expert. As a group, take turns teaching one another a trick or secret skill. Demonstrate how to whistle with two fingers. Teach everyone how to make a French braid, or teach the group how to make perfectly crunchy bacon. When you’re done, your family will be an even more talented bunch!

This Or That

Would you rather share a room with a pony or a pot-bellied pig? Ride in a car with no radio or no air conditioning? It’s family quiz night! Use quizzes from This or That? Quiz Book to learn more about each other, share stories, and best of all—laugh!
