Find Out What Plug-ins You Have

It's easy to check what plug-ins you already have on your computer.

First, figure out what kind of computer you're using. It should be either a PC or Mac. Then find out which Web browser you use–Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Firefox (Mac or PC)

  1. Under the Tools menu, select "Add-ons" and then click on the "Plug-ins" tab.
  2. Look for Shockwave Flash, QuickTime, and Adobe Acrobat.
  3. Make a note of which plug-ins you need to download.

Internet Explorer (PC)

  1. Under the Tools menu, select Manage Add-ons.
  2. Look for Adobe PDF reader link, ShockWave, Flash.
  3. Make a note of which plug-ins you need to download.
