About Anna & her poster
When Anna decided to enter the American Girl poster contest, she talked with her dad about how bullying hurts. Anna imagined that it tears people apart, so she started tearing up colored construction paper to bring her idea and message to life.
Along with being creative, Anna enjoys school, particularly reading and science. Outside of school, she plays piano and softball and likes to participate in her 4-H club, where she gets to show the Oxford sheep her family raises.
Anna would encourage other girls to stop bullying by asking them to think about how they would feel if it happened to them.
Although Anna has never been bullied herself, she has stood up to bullies. When an older student was picking on a friend, Anna told the student to stop and helped her friend walk away.
Anna would encourage other girls to stop bullying by asking them to think about how they would feel if it happened to them. As Anna's poster shows, rather than trying to tear people apart, we should all come together.
