elcome to a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Molly: An American Girl on the Home Front, a movie about nine-year-old Molly McIntire.
As you may know, Molly was created as a character in a series of books. Turning the books about Molly into a television movie started with rewriting her stories into a script. Molly’s personality and looks came from the books, as did those of most other characters. Some changes were made to the stories and characters for the movie, but the heart of Molly’s story remains the same—it’s about life on the home front during World War Two, when the changes brought by war affected everyone, even a nine-year-old girl living in Illinois.
