Lanie's Real Adventures

Lanie’s been busy in the garden. It’s midsummer, and Lanie’s backyard wildflower garden is starting to bloom with all the flowers that butterflies like best. Lanie is excited, but her next-door neighbor isn’t—she calls it a "weed garden."

When the neighbor sprays pesticides on the roses in her yard, Lanie worries that the poison will drift into her garden—and hurt the butterflies and birds she’s trying to attract. But when Lanie tries to talk about her concerns, she can’t seem to find her voice. Can Lanie find a way to get along with her neighbor—and a solution to their garden problem?
