McKenna, Ready to Fly!

McKenna has high hopes. She’s back at the gym and hoping to make the competitive team in March. She’s doing better in school, too, thanks to Josie’s tutoring—so when Josie needs help facing her fear of horseback riding, McKenna gladly signs up for the job. Helping Josie, however, leads to friction between McKenna and her teammate Toulane, who seems jealous of Josie.

When McKenna learns the real reason Toulane is upset, she wants to help her teammate. But how can she cheer on Josie at the riding center, support Toulane at the gym, and work toward her own goal of making the competitive team? McKenna’s torn loyalties lead to discoveries about the power of believing in herself and encouraging others.
