In each season, there's an opportunity to help your neighbors with their yards (ask your parents for permission first). In fall, you can rake leaves; in winter, you can shovel snow; in spring, you can plant some flowers; and in summer, you can water the plants. Charge $5 an hour. It'll be good to get fresh air and exercise, too.

A, My Name Is...'
When my family and I are on a road trip, we play a word game called 'A, My Name Is.' One person starts with the letter A. She will come up with a sentence that includes her letter and goes like this: 'A, my name is (insert name here). My brother's name is (insert name here). We come from (a place) and we (type of job). For example, she might say, 'A, my name is Alice. My brother's name is Andrew. We come from Alabama, and we sell apples!' Then the next person goes and comes up with a sentence for the letter B, and so on. When you've gone through the entire alphabet, the game ends.
