Find some smooth rocks and attach googly eyes to them. They'll look cute and funny, and people can put them on their desks. Sell them for $1 each.
Ever hear the joke about the skunk?
Yes, and it stinks!
Pour some vanilla yogurt into a bowl. Put two chocolate sandwich cookies into a plastic bag and close tightly. Crush the cookies using a rolling pin. Dump the crushed cookies into the yogurt and stir.
Get a large piece of poster board, and, using a black marker, write words such as "Hope," "Peace," "Live," "Dream," or another inspirational word. Decorate the letters using colorful markers, colored pencils, or stickers. Cut out each letter, and use white poster putty to hang them on your bedroom wall. I did this, and I love how it looks!
Little kids love anything that's new to them, so the next time you babysit, bring along a few of your own toys. My cousin plays with a doll I had when I was little, even though she has lots of her own dolls. Something new can really keep a kid's attention.
Find the Beat
For this game, you need small drums or pots (or you can tap on your legs), two drumsticks (or spoons), and two or more people. Start the game by tapping on your drum. The next person has to try to tap the same rhythm on her drum. Every time the next rhythm is made, make sure to rotate so everyone has a turn. See if you can all find the beat!
Collect smooth rocks and paint them with fun designs. You can sell them (or use them yourself!) as paperweights, doorstops, or decorations. Be creative with your designs!
I use a trick to remember the presidents that are carved on Mount Rushmore: "We (Washington) just (Jefferson) love (Lincoln) Rushmore (Roosevelt)!"
