Past You Said It!
Twelve-year-old Jordan asked this question: "Which person can you trust with your deepest secrets and why?"
These girls shared their thoughts:
The person I trust the most would probably my friend from youth group, Christy. She and I have been raised in two different countries (she's from England and I'm from the United States), but we still have tons of things in common.
–Elena, age 13, South Africa
The only "person" in the world that I can trust with absolutely anything is my dog. I'll cuddle up next to her and tell her everything, and she'll listen. She can tell when I'm feeling sad, and she'll give me a puppy kiss to make me feel better.
–Emily, age 11, Michigan
My big sister is my best friend. She knows all of my secrets and has never let one slip. I feel comfortable talking to her about anything, from crushes to embarrassing moments. She's always there for me when I need to let it all out.
–Aubrey, age 13, Georgia
I can trust my mom. I'm the only girl in a family with three brothers. My mom is my closest friend, and I can tell her anything.
–An American Girl fan, age 11, North Carolina
My stuffed animal monkey, Gibbon, is the perfect secret keeper. There's no way he can share my secrets with anyone. I can cry on his shoulder when I'm sad.
–Averie, age 10, Washington
I can share my secrets and feelings with my cousin Grace. We're a lot alike, and we enjoy the same things. We love each other!
–Sophie, age 11, Ohio
I completely trust my twin brother—he always has my back and I have his.
–Katie, age 10, New Jersey
There are eleven boys in my class and only five girls. Because it has been just the five of us for a long time, we have formed an unbreakable bond. I can definitely trust these girls with my deepest secrets.
–Ingrid, age 11, Iowa
The person whom I trust the most is my grandma. She understands me and listens to my troubles, even if she's busy.
–Jeanne, age 11, Australia
I think that my Aunt Jo is the best secret keeper in the world. She always listens to what I say and gives me great advice on any subject. I love to share my secrets with Aunt Jo.
–Mary, age 11, Alabama
I can trust my dad with my deepest secrets. He's very understanding, and sometimes, even in the midst of a huge problem, he can even make me laugh.
–Kailyn, age 10, Nevada
I can always count on my teacher. Last year I was having some problems, so I went to her to talk them out. She was kind and supportive, and helpful in a very sticky situation. She's someone I can really trust.
–An American Girl fan, age 12, Michigan
The person in my life I can trust with my biggest secrets isn't really a person. It's my 1,000-pound horse. I can trust him, he truly listens, and he'd never tell anyone. He's sure to keep all of my secrets!
–RyRy, age 11, California
I have a best friend named Ben. We've been friends since first grade, and he knows things about me that no one else knows. I'm glad he's my friend.
–Maddie, age 9, Florida
I tell all my secrets to my cat, Cleo. Whenever I need to get something off my chest, I find my little gray kitty and tell her everything.
–Malina, age 11, Virginia
My diary can't tell anyone my secrets, so I can always depend on my green diary and black pen.
–Reece, age 12, Texas
