Thirteen-year-old Juli asked this question: "What is your favorite time of the day and why?"

These girls shared their thoughts:

My favorite time of day is when I first wake up in the morning. I have "snuggle time" with my mom and sister and then we go downstairs to eat breakfast.

Every morning, I go out to feed my pony and she nuzzles up to me just like a dog. The smell of hay early in the morning is calming for me.

My favorite time of day is when I walk into my classroom at school and see my friends. I like to talk to them about what happened the night before and about the day ahead.

I have a class at my school called Discovery, and it's my favorite thing to do during the day. We get to build robots, learn new words, write stories, and have lots of fun.

My favorite part of the day is lunchtime at school. I have four best friends, and since I have a class with only one of them, it's nice to see my other friends at lunch. It's the perfect chance for us to catch up.

I love afternoons at my house. I'm home-schooled, so afternoon is when I get free time to read, write, check my e-mail, call my friends, or practice basketball.

The best moment of my day is when I come home from school to my sweet dog, Hudson. He always lifts my spirits if I've had a bad day.

Each day, I can't wait to come home from school and see my baby sister. Since I'm at school or practices most of the time, I don't get to see her as much as I'd like. Playing with her is so much fun.

My favorite time is around 5:00 p.m.—it's when I'm at my dance class. I dream about being a professional dancer someday, so each class is a step toward making that dream happen.

Each night after I finish my homework, I spend time with my pet parrot. She's so cute, and I love it when she sits on my shoulder.

My favorite time is just after it gets dark, because I love to look up at the stars. When I gaze at a starry sky, I feel as if I'm on a different, magical planet.

Bedtime is my favorite part of the day. I feel so relaxed when I lie down on my bed with my magazines. It's also a great time to think about the events of my day. Oh, and I love going to sleep, too!
