Past You Said It!
Ten-year-old Elodie asked this question: "If you could have 100 of anything (except for money), what would you choose and why?"
These girls shared their thoughts:
If I could have 100 of anything in the world, I'd choose to have 100 rooms in my house. I would never get bored—I could watch a movie with friends in the movie room or jump on the trampoline in the gymnastics room!
–Hope, age 11, Canada
I would choose 100 balls—basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, and more. My dog always seems to pop my balls, so it would be nice to have lots of backups.
–An American Girl fan, age 12, Alaska
If I could have 100 of anything, I would pick 100 teddy bears. I would give them to kids who need furry friends.
–Cheyenne, age 9, Minnesota
I'd love to have 100 hours in a day. That would give me a lot more time to practice my swimming and dancing.
–Kara, age 11, Virginia
If I could have anything, I would choose 100 lunch boxes filled with food. I would love to travel around the world to give out lunches to people in need who might eat once a day or less. The smiles on their faces would be rewarding.
–Gigi, age 12, Colorado
I'd love to have 100 pairs of earrings, because I always seem to be losing them!
–Clara, age 11, Georgia
I would pick 100 balls of yarn. I love to crochet, and having that much yarn would be a lot of fun.
–Emmy, age 13, North Carolina
I would definitely choose 100 plane tickets. That way, I could go to 100 places I've always wanted to travel to.
–Miriam, age 12, Michigan
If I could have 100 of anything, I would choose 100 glow-in-the-dark stars to put on every wall in my room. It would feel like a camping trip every night.
–Kaylie, age 10, New Mexico
It would be fun to have 100 sketchbooks. Drawing is my passion because it's a way to make my dreams come true on paper. The problem is, I never have enough paper!
–Emma, age 13, Tennessee
I would like to be in charge of finding families to adopt 100 homeless dogs. It would make me feel good to know that I helped find nice, loving homes for 100 dogs.
–Elsa, age 12, Michigan
If I could have 100 of anything, I'd choose books. I love to read, and it would be fun to have that many books to read. They'd last me for a while!
–Meredith, age 9, Wisconsin
I'd pick colorful and glittery sneakers. I love shoes; they always brighten my day. I'd share them with my friends, too.
–Nina, age 11, Ohio
I would choose 100 days with my cousin Olivia. We're great friends, but she lives far away, so we don't get to see each other very often. Seeing her 100 times would be awesome.
–Megan, age 12, West Virginia
I wish I could have 100 acres of land. I live in the city, and I've always wanted to live on a farm where we could have horses and chickens. We would grow all of our own food, and the energy would come from the wind. Having our own farm would be a dream come true.
