Summer adventures are so much fun with your little one! Here are some tips for smooth sailing while traveling.
Is summer travel on the near horizon for you and your daughter? Whether you’re spending a day at the pool, visiting grandma and grandpa, or taking a family vacation, you’ll want to keep your little one happy and engaged.
Traveling by plane, train, or automobile? Challenge your little one to an alphabet game! See if she can help you list different kinds of animals from A to Z. For example, ant for A, bear for B, and cat for C. Extra points if she makes the sound that goes with each animal!
Healthy, simple snacks go hand in hand with summer trips. Create your own trail mix for you and your daughter to eat on the go. Pick one or two items from each section to make a delicious trail mix:
- Nuts: peanuts, cashews, almonds
- Dried fruit: cranberries, blueberries, raisins, banana chips, cherries
- Seeds: sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, flax seeds
- Bonus treat (choose just one): chocolate chips, marshmallows, pretzels
A great way to keep your daughter content in the car is with a travel scavenger hunt. See if she can find these things while you’re on your next adventure:
- * Bus
- * Bird
- * Person walking their dog
- *Red roof
- *Police car
- *Blue minivan
- *Traffic cone
